The Opportunity: 

We're on the lookout for a driven Junior Lawyer eager to make a mark in our highly dynamic regulatory team. This role offers a unique opportunity to ensure legal compliance and sustainability adherence while engaging in exciting commercial legal work, and in-depth policy analysis and formation.  

This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of broadcast and digital landscapes! 

Reporting to Senior Legal Counsel and assisting the Chief Regulatory and Sustainability Officer, you will be responsible for: 

  • Managing the broadcast regulatory compliance process. 

  • Managing viewer and audience complaints for broadcast and digital platforms. 

  • Coordinating mandatory climate reporting. 

  • Driving sustainability programs, develop and write the annual sustainability report. 

  • Assisting in the drafting of regulatory and policy submissions. 

  • Drafting and coordinating company-wide compliance training. 

  • Reviewing, advising on and drafting various contractual documents. 

  • Assisting with self-regulatory and co-regulatory code development. 

  • Providing ad hoc support to the legal team. 

About You: 

This role would suit a recent law graduate with a passion for media and sustainability, and who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be someone that enjoys autonomy, is intellectually curious and excited to learn new areas of the law and policy development and the ability to think creatively. 

You will have: 

  • Completed an undergraduate law degree. 

  • 1-2 years post-qualification experience. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • High attention to detail and strong research skills. 

  • Self-motivation and a strong work ethic
